The response that I want to get from my research and the type of questions that I ask
In my questionnaire I aim to ask simple but yet useful questions. I want the consumers of my questionnaire not to feel like they are wasting their time by asking them simple yes and no questions but I also don't want to bombarded them with a long survey filled with lengthy questions that require a written response. In order to achieve my desired response I will need to plan out my questionnaire so it involves both simple yes and no questions, but I also want my questions to provoke a written response but not one that requires a lengthy written response. An example question could be:
Q1a)Do you think that the Alternative rap scene is a predominantly male scene?
()Yes ()No
Q1b) If you think yes would you like to see an increases of coverage in female artist within Alternative magazines?
()Yes ()No
Q1c) If your answer to question one was could, could you please briefly justify your response below?
If I decide to create my survey to similar to this I have to keep in mind that the questions are broken into different parts therefor making them long questions, to prevent my audience from feeling that they have to rush through the questionnaire to complete all the questions quickly, I will make it a short questionnaire only consisting of a few long questions.
