Question 6

Question 6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this pruduct?

Photoshop

Before I had started this project I had began to use Photoshop, just to brush up on my skills after we had created our school magazines for our preliminary task and it didn't take me long before I feel in love with the program, my Photoshop skills had also gradually improved since I had started this project, for example the differences in quality and professional look between my original draft and my final draft is colossus. All together I really loved using this program and will definitely keep using it after this course is finished. From Photoshop I have learnt how to crop pictures successfully, use the curves to change tones and contrast, layer images on top of each other and use colors to blend into the human skin, these were all tricky to learn but still quite fun, I am quite proud of my self for learning all my Photoshop skills by my self without help from teachers or videos.

Indesign
Wow using Indesign has definitely been a rollercoaster, although I found it very similar to Photoshop in the way it functions, I found it very difficult to understand; some of the tools either had a different name or were missing and things like that were what caused me to takes ages to complete one simple task on Indesign like changing the opacity of a text without taking the opacity of the text box as well or example. Eventually after lots of practice and useful youtube videos I was getting a hang of how to properly use Indesign and by the time it came for me to create my double page spread I  dubbed my self as some sort of a "pro". From Indesgn I have learnt the importance of a good font set, I have learnt how to space fonts, change the coulours and transparency of text and increase the length of a font as well as paragraphing and drop caps, most of theses I learnt from youtube videos but some of these I had worked out my self and I am still very proud of my self.
